Composed Photorealism is a style of painting founded by Filipino artist Dr. Aladin Antiqueño and formally named in 2010. Photographs taken at different times and places are composed into one unified scene, then painted in oil with the precision of a photograph. Its subjects are Filipino children at play, often dressed in white, framed by tropical leaves and lit by afternoon sunlight, and traditional games such as taguan and sabong gagamba, kept alive on canvas. The method is taught, not guarded: it is written into four books and has been part of the Fine Arts curriculum at GK College since 2018, where Dr. Antiqueño is Dean.
